HOPE’s therapeutic community rehabilitation programs provides full time residential support to people overcoming issues around alcohol and other drugs dependency and transitional housing to many more.
The Farm operates as a social enterprise and caters for adults over 18. It provides residents with vocational and life skills training in a work environment. The emphasis is on living and working together to build resilience and confidence to deal with the issues that have led to alcohol and drug dependency.
Working on farm projects, connecting with the local community and undertaking work skills training are key aspects of the program. The residents receive hands-on training, some of which may be accredited, and can learn about a range of vocations including horticulture, handicrafts (such as jewellery making and woodworking) or even artisan bread-making.
